About
Katie Drummond serves as director of REL Northwest. Dr. Drummond brings over 25 years of experience conducting evaluations, research-based technical assistance, and practitioner partnerships designed to improve learner outcomes, especially for underserved populations and in the areas of literacy and early childhood education.
She has led large-scale randomized controlled trials for IES and designed initiatives that involve collaboration with partners at the local, state, and federal levels.
Dr. Drummond earned her BS from Northwestern University and her PhD in educational psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles.

About REL Northwest
Regional Educational Lab (REL) Northwest partners with key stakeholders in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington to develop evidence that can inform consequential decisions about policy, programs, and practice. Key stakeholders include organizations with decision-making authority and the ability to influence education policy and practice, such as state and local education agencies, school boards, institutes of higher education, and student, family, and community organizations.
